The minutes of the Sixth General Body meeting; 3th April, 2023.
Resolutions passed.
1. As our corporator is coming to Vibhavari's apartment, we wanted to meet him to remind about the construction of our association building. As soon as it was informed through short message all the members of the association responded in the shortest possible time and express our presence and meet carporator, before we reminded him, the corporator him-self respond and said that the File is endorsed by J. C. The President expressed happiness and said this was possible only because we all are tied together and all the members were behind him. He congratulated all the members for giving their time and showing the strength of our association.
However, due to the Election Code the work has been stopped, the building construction efforts have been postponed for the time being. It was informed that they will try again after the Election Code is lifted.
2. As part of the program to honor our super seniors, K. Krishnamurthy (83) who had completed Sahasra Chandra Darshan has to be honoured. But due to lack of information about him, we could not honour him in the last meeting.
We invited him to honour today. Presidents informed the members that their honouring program has been postponed to next month i.e. April 2023 as he is out of station.
3. President said some of our primary members, remembering the sweet memories of the previous 'get together party’, shared with me their desire to organize another 'get together party’ before the start of the summer season, through phone and in-person. In this regared, if the members accept in the general meeting, I will form a committee and decide the suitable place according to the weather, keeping in mind the upcoming summer hotness and possibilities. The members unanimously gave their consent for the get together party in the first week of April as the dates are in March are not possible due to festivals. Gandipet and Anantgiri (Vikarabad) places have also been suggested for this. Among these two, Gandipet in April and Anantgiri in November would be good for Kartika vanabhojanas, and suggested that both should be arranged. Honorable members decided that let's engage a bus and enjoy the journey all together. However, the gathering was informed that the get together party committee will examine the feasibility and take a decision. All members agreed to this.
Coming to the appointment of the committee, the assembly suggested that the same committee should be continued for these two parties as the committee organized earlier by the ‘Get Together Party’ was well and efficiently managed. The House informed that another member can also be taken into the committee if necessary.
4. It was also informed in the previous meetings; Our Senior Citizen Well Fare Association has supporters of all political parties. Our association is likely to expand to include people of all faiths. Theists who believe in God and atheists who do not believe in God are also likely to be members of the cassociation. As per the definition of senior citizen, anyone who completed 59 years and turned 60 can become a member of this association. Our community is beyond politics, caste and religion. It is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that no political party, caste or religion imprints on it. Every one of us may be a sympathizer or fan or admirer of some political party or leader, it is their personal matter, so let's not inforce their opinions and sentiments on our association. Such messages can be sent individually to any number of your friends. Our association has no objection. Once again, I request that no one should post any messages that hurt the sentiments of our fellow members, that are political If any such message appears then admins will delete those messages immediately. However, if such messages are seen again and again, the admins will contact the executive members and ask them personally, if they don't listen, they will be reprimanded and the last step will be to remove them from the WhatsApp group. But their primary membership in our association will continue. I request you once again not to post any such messages in future. Every member should know that the WhatsApp group is only a tool to share messages, greet each other in the Senior Citizen Well Fare Association to increase the intimacy between us that we are not alone but are there for each other and not the same association. Just removing them from the WhatsApp group does not lose their primary membership in the association. .
5. All honourable members are aware of the war of messages in the WhatsApp group for the past week. In case of polluting down the healthy atmosphere among us and making the community sick, if a pill or a needle is needed or sometimes, it is also necessary to cut through the operation. In a situation where our community, which is moving happily and peacefully in an atmosphere of goodwill, is being shot with arrows of messages, a situation has been aroused where the committee has to act somewhat harshly to protect the community itself. Due to this some members had to be lost from the Whats App group. But we did not removed them. They left the group. Even if they are not in the WhatsApp group, their primary membership will continue. They can freely attend meetings, participate in discussions, share their problems and suggestions. .
6. Finally, on behalf of our association's executive committee, the President Prof. Jayant Kumar wished everyone a Happy Telugu New Year named Shobhakrit . .
The meeting was concluded with the valedictory address by K. Vijayakumar. All the members happily said goodbye to each other and left the meeting hall happily.
